Our Travel Tips are not tossed out lightly. We’ve been traveling for a while now, and we want to give you the benefit of our experience. We’ll tell you what has, and hasn’t, worked for us – and why.
We’re going to cover everything from travel planning to packing to what to do when you arrive in this strange, new place. We know, sometimes travel feels intimidating. Maybe you like packing, but hate planning. Or maybe the first few days in a new place, especially a place drastically different from home, are daunting.
We’re here to make this all easier for you.
Here are a few quick tips for any travel situation:
- Leave Extra Time – that way delays won’t stress you out. Also, things often take longer than you think they will.
- Be Prepared for Things to be Different – not everything is going to be like home, and that’s a good thing.
- Have Loose Expectations – the more different the culture and language, the less likely you’re going to get what you think you asked for. Learn to accept and enjoy.
- Keep a Sense of Humor – be ready to laugh when things don’t go right.
That sense of humor thing? It’s especially good if you can laugh at yourself. When you’re dealing with new cultures and languages, you’ll find people infinitely more helpful and patient of you don’t take a tough situation too seriously.
We’re also open to hearing your suggestions. Feel free to share your experiences and travel tips. There’s no such thing as too many ideas. Also let us know if we miss any topics you want covered and we’ll add them in.
