Just found out yesterday that there’s a 48-hour transportation strike scheduled for December 1-2, 2021, all across Senegal.

This is the scene of the usually busy main street in Ouakam, a lively neighborhood in Dakar that’s home to sights such as the African Renaissance Monument, the Mosque of the Divinity and Phare des Mamelles (the White Lighthouse).

“Workers associated with the CUSTRS coalition, a group comprised of multiple transportation-related unions, will strike in Senegal from Dec. 1-2. Workers are preparing to strike over complaints related to working conditions.” – from Garda.com, click this link for more on the strike: https://bit.ly/3DdMG1I

So a change of plans for these travelers. Our 4th Travelversary did not turn out the way we intended.

C’est la vie.
