Gorgeous! Chua Phap Lam Buddhist Pagoda in Da Nang, Vietnam

Chua Phap Lam Pagoda sits in the heart of Da Nang City, Vietnam providing a beautiful and quiet respite from the surrounding city.

One of Danang City’s attractions that doesn’t breathe fire or make headlines.

This Buddhist temple is a delight to find in the middle of Danang. It’s free and open to all, whether you’re Buddhist, or not. The grounds are wonderfully peaceful, the statues grand, but a bit playful and it’s a wonderful place to spend an hour, or an afternoon.

This temple is one of the best budget friendly things to do in Da Nang. While visiting Chua Phap Lam Pagoda is free, if you’re enjoying your stay, you can always drop a few dong in the donation boxes in front of the statues.

If you’re traveling all over Southeast Asia, there is a tendency to get ‘templed out’, but this is definitely a temple worth making time for. It’s convenience in the middle of the city means you can stop in after lunch, and get a cup of coffee afterward. (Don’t worry about finding a coffee bar, they’re about every half block in any direction.)

Also, the nice thing about this temple – no stairs, unless you decide to go up to the second floor where the multi-armed statue is (see video). If you’ve been to a bunch of temples already, you’ll appreciate this feature at Chua Phap Lam Pagoda.
