Team Hazard’s Adventures in Southeast Asia.
Jakarta, Indonesia was the first stop in Team Hazard’s epic world tour. Then we moved on to Yogyakarta to see the grand temples of Prambanan and Borobudur. After that, Komodo Dragons and touring the Island of Flores visiting Bena Village and Todo Village before exploring the Liang Bua Hobbit Cave. Then we headed off to the Toraja region of Sulawesi to explore their unique culture surrounding death and the elaborate funeral rites. And we couldn’t leave Indonesia without seeing some orangutans in Kalimantan (Borneo).
Then it was on to Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Penang with their impressive temples and excellent coffee.
Thailand next, with beautiful beaches, kayaking, temples, incredible food and wonderful people. Ao Nang, Krabi, Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and more. Check out our photo gallery of Thailand.
Onward to mysterious Myanmar. The crazy wonderful Thingyan Water Festival at the Palace in Mandalay. Buddhist snake temples, long bamboo bridges, sunsets over Bagan and more temples. Yangon for big busy temples and a heck of a reclining Buddha. And more temples.
Boating to Laos for a two day trip down the Mekong to enjoy Luang Prabang. Phonsavan is where this part of the trip got cut short, when Tim broke his leg, but we will return to continue our Southeast Asia adventures soon.
