Due to flight schedules, we only spent 1 night in Ukraine, at the airport hotel. I have to assume it’s Soviet-style construction (it’s not, I’ve been informed by one of our followers, but it really seems like it), just by the nature of how heavy and industrial everything was.
This elevator makes the kind of sounds you’d expect from heavy machinery. It’s solid, that’s for sure.
Admittedly, this was our first time traveling in this region, so maybe this is standard stuff. But for us, this heavyweight elevator was a wonderful source of interest and some amusement.
